Need for strategies and resources

The future survival of the school depends on the need for strategic planning and resources to achieve the school's objectives. Accordingly, it is essential to work to achieve the objectives of the school through the use of various strategies.

 In comparison with the current student population, the lack of physical and human resources is a hindrance to the development of the school. In addition, there is a need for strategies and resources to achieve other objectives.

 

Existing requirements of the school

■ Implementation of school-based professional teacher development programs to strengthen the learning and teaching process.

■ Implementation of result development programs G.E.C. (O/L) and G.E.C. (A/L)  to achieve higher achievement levels in the subjects of science and mathematics.

■ Implementation of attitude development programs for student attitude development.

■ Implementation of programs to increase building facilities.

■ Implementation of programs to improve professional knowledge of students.

■ Carrying out necessary activities to improve co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

■ Day-to-day maintenance and payment of employee wages.

■ Purchase of capital goods as required.

The need for resources

Different sources of funding should be identified and implemented to fulfill the objectives of the school. Here we have to focus on the following funding channels.

■ Schools Development Society funds and facility fees

■ Centralized Funds (Line Ministry)

■ Decentralized Funding

■ Quality inputs

■ Donations from the community

■ Funds of Old Puils’ Association

■ Donations received from overseas alumni for the development of the school

  Current situation Educational progress At present, there has been a remarkable development in all aspects of the education of our school. (O/L) Examination Pass percentage - 100% First, second and third positions of the island were obtained by the students of our college.   History of Ratnavali Balika Vidyalaya Ratnawali Balika Vidyalaya was established on December 17, 1948 as a result of the establishment of Buddhist schools through Parama Vijnanartha Buddhist Company together with Sir Henry Steele Olcott and Anagarika Dharmapala.
